Abdiasis Laftagaren whose mandate as the Prez of the Southwest State of Somalia ended about a month ago remains in office and continues his despotic and coercive rule.
His friend Adam Madobe, the Speaker of Somalia’s Lower House parliament, is striving to deliver a reconciliation meeting set to kick off in Baidoa that will bring together all the political stakeholders of the state aimed at deliberating the way to move the state from the current political vacuum.
Though Laftagaren attempted to stymie the kickoff of the meeting, the technical committee tasked to organize the meeting dropped officially announced Jan 16 as the kickoff day.
All the participants of the meeting including the opposition presidential candidates flock to Baidoa.
However, sources inside Laftagaren’s inner circle confirm that his attempt to stage a blackmail and spy scandal targeting key opposition figures who were persistently demanding the swift delivery of the delayed state democratic election.
He demands the installment of spy cameras and high CCTV units aimed at conducting surveillance operations in and around the residential areas of the delegation attending the reconciliation meeting.
The operation also includes the use of sextortion that will target Laftagaren’s opponents as more than 50 women from Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, and Ethiopia are deployed to most of Baidoa hotels.
Their mission is to lure opposition figures into nasty sexual affairs and eventually obtain substantial evidence that will help their boss, Laftagaren, blackmail the targeted victims.
Laftagaren instructed the mayor of Baidoa district, Abdullahi Watiin, who is also his clansman to run this scandal project which will cost more than a quarter of a million that will be pillaged from the state coffers.
Further, Abdulkadir Dahir, alias White Boy, who is among the senior logistic officers of WFP Somalia, is also involved in this as he used WFP sources and connections to hire high-tech companies that will execute this wild project.
White Boy is also a close kin to Laftagaren. The project also includes the poisoning of vociferous critics of Laftagaren among the delegation attending the meeting, especially those heavyweight politicians.
Laftagaren previously conducted such a dirty job during Mohamed Farmajo’s term in Villa Somalia and blackmailed close friends who were threat to Farmajo’s megalomaniac rule.
