Somaliland police said on Saturday that they had made an arrest in the brutal beheading murder of a two-year-old child.
Said Ismail Hassan, the suspect, was detained in Somaliland’s capital, Hargeisa. The offender tried to depart the city but was apprehended by police.
Nashad Sakriye Hassan was brutally killed in Hargeisa, Somaliland’s capital, in the Sheikh Nur neighborhood.
“The culprit has been apprehended by Somaliland police forces and will be brought to justice,” the police stated in a statement.
The police provided no more information regarding the homicide or its motivation.
